Kunstsmullen 2006: Experiencing art amidst woodland and heathland

From 3 to 25 October 2026, Heeze-Leende will be all about Kunstsmullen. Under the theme ‘Spatial Exploration’, the biennial invites you not only to view art, but also to experience it within the space around you.

Discover 16 works of art at the Kapellerput Estate
Kapellerput is also part of Kunstsmullen. Take a stroll through the estate and discover our special art walk featuring 16 works of art and follies. The works are scattered throughout the landscape and each, in its own way, engages with nature and the surroundings.

You’ll walk through the woods and along the heath, whilst the art continually shifts your perspective on the landscape. A lovely route for anyone who enjoys being outdoors and wants to experience art in a different way. There’s also art to discover indoors at ‘ Kapellerput ’ during the exhibition, which forms part of Kunstsmullen.

You can also experience Kunstsmullen during a business meeting . Start the day outdoors, take a stroll together past the artworks and be surprised by what you discover along the way. A refreshing start to spark new ideas.

Throughout Heeze-Leende, you’ll find exhibitions, theatre, music and poetry. With five art walking routes and a cycle route, you can put together your own journey of discovery.
Almost all parts of Kunstsmullen are free to visit.

After a walk outdoors, it’s lovely to relax indoors. We’d love to welcome you for a drink, coffee and cake, lunch or dinner. As well as our regular lunch menu, there’s a special lunch dish created especially for Kunstsmullen: a hot dish featuring filo pastry, autumn vegetables and feta. A flavourful creation, inspired by nature.

At Restaurant Cambium, we’re serving a special Kunstsmullen set menu featuring delicious seasonal dishes.
