Visiting beekeeper Peer on the Kapellerput estate

On Sunday 12 July, Kapellerput will take part in the National Open Beekeeping Days. Visitors are welcome between 10 am and 4 pm at the hives on the estate at Kapellerput. Beekeeper Peer will show you the hives and tell you all about the wonderful world of honey bees. Entrance is free.

Importance of bees

Insects and bees in particular are in the news a lot. Especially their habitat and thus the supply of gestation or food is under pressure. Bees are indispensable, especially because, as pollinators, they are very important for many kinds of fruit and vegetables, but also for flowers, plants and trees in our nature. It is therefore very important to make our environment as bee-friendly as possible. For instance, by planting all kinds of flowering plants where nectar and pollen can be collected.
