Apprentice Independent Cook

32 hours per week

In our cosy kitchen team and in our high-end new kitchen, we have an apprenticeship available for an enthusiastic student independent working cook.

Together with our enthusiastic and driven kitchen team, you will ensure an optimal culinary experience for our guests. The de creativiteit and presentation of our contemporary dishes set us apart in the market. For the kitchen team, there is plenty of variety in work with à la carte cooking for restaurant Cambium, our varied business lunch buffets, the business and festive banquet dinners, outdoor cooking on the terraces and walking dinners in private dining rooms. Our guests are culinary surprised and pampered at any time of the day.

You will have varied working hours and duties within the kitchen team. We like to work with regional and organic products, fruit from our own garden and work with the finest products from specialised suppliers. We use a modern cooking style with international influences and enjoy beautifully prepared and tasty dishes. Sustainability is of paramount importance. Creativity and an active input in developing new dishes is highly appreciated!

For this position, you will be training as an independent working cook (level 3 or higher) or you will start this in September 2024. On the work floor, you will be supervised by a recognised mentor. You will have every opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills. You are enthusiastic and passionate about your profession. You know what it is like to work changing hours and are just as critical and driven as your colleagues. You are eager to learn and have an eye for detail so that every dish leaves the kitchen perfect!
